THERE IS A CHARGE FOR “WEATHER DAYS”, as follows:
In order to stay in business, pay our help and keep our doors open for all of our 2 and 4 legged friends, we must charge for “Weather Days” at the rate of $13.00 for full day reservations and $9 for half days. Payment is due on the next day of attendance, or by mail if your dog is not a regular attendee.
“WEATHER DAY” DEFINED:
1) If you call in to cancel due to weather no later than 7:00 pm on the day before your dogs scheduled day (we can’t fill your spot when the weather is bad), the weather day charge will apply. This applies even if you cancel several days ahead in anticipation of a coming storm.
2) If we choose to close due to inclement weather because most of the dogs for a given day have cancelled due to the weather, the weather day charge will apply for all dogs who cancelled for that day.
Should you call in on the day of your scheduled attendance, or after 7:00 pm the night before, and we haven’t cancelled for the day, we must charge you at the full rate for the day and “weather day” rates will not apply.
Under One Woof is open for Doggie Daycare in all but the most extreme weather conditions, unless most of the scheduled dogs have cancelled for the day; or if bad weather has resulted in a power outage that hasn’t been resolved by 6:30 am. In the event that we close due to any of these events Under One Woof will contact all of its daycare clients by email (by phone only if you have no email or if the power is out) by 10:00 pm on the evening prior to being closed if possible or by 6:45-7:00 am at the latest. Please check emails/answering machines/voicemail before bringing your dog during bad weather. If you call us in the morning, please do not assume that we are closed if we don’t answer the phone because we are just as likely to be outside shoveling/snowblowing/sanding and/or greeting arriving dogs. Please leave a message and we will get back to you, but if you haven’t heard from us by phone or email by 7:00 am, you can assume that we are open.
In the event that we are closed due to weather so that you have paid a weather day charge more than twice in one season (Nov-March), we will credit you for one regular day at no charge. This credit can be used on a regularly scheduled day, or for an extra day as space allows, but must be approved in advance (we can’t give everyone a free day all on the same day). This does not apply if you have chosen not to come on a day when we are open for business.
You must pay by cash or check for “weather days” even if you have a daycare pass. Passes are not charged for weather days.
This policy for weather supersedes the normal 24 hour cancellation notice policy and applies to all cancellations due to bad weather at any time prior to 7pm on the evening prior to the weather event.
